Our original unit, the Cashscan Model 1800, was the first counterfeit detection unit on the market and to this day remains our most popular product with over 200,000 units sold in over 115 countries around the world.

Our units have become more sophisticated as counterfeit notes have become more difficult to detect. We have gone from simple magnetic detection in our base model to denomination recognition, security thread detection, and we are the only company in the world to offer a unit with serial number scanning using OCR technology (Optical Character Recognition). The use of OCR technology allows our equipment to be interfaced with any number of cash management systems allowing for a complete solution to currency handling.

Cashscan units can detect currencies from over 70 different countries and we are constantly adding to our library of currencies.
